DO NOT EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING after midnight prior to the morning of your surgery, unless specifically instructed otherwise during your pre-operative visit in our clinic. At that visit, please check with your interviewing nurse and/or anesthesia provider about which medications you should or should not take during this fasting period.

DO NOT APPLY MAKEUP OR NAIL POLISH.

LEAVE ALL JEWELRY AND VALUABLES AT HOME. This includes any body piercing jewelry. All must be removed.

WEAR LOOSE CLOTHING. Surgical dressings may be bulky and we want you to be comfortable on your drive home.

PLEASE ARRANGE FOR TRANSPORTATION HOME. Driving is not allowed during the 24-hour period following your anesthesia. A blanket and pillow are suggested if you have a long distance to travel.

PLEASE ARRANGE FOR CHILDCARE IN ADVANCE. You should plan to spend the remainder of your day resting.
