Classes
Providence offers a variety of educational classes for pre and post-pregnancy, including breastfeeding support, newborn care and infant massage. Search for Providence

Breastfeeding Support and Lactation
Our Breastfeeding Support and Newborn Care Clinic offers breastfeeding supplies and outpatient appointments with a board certified lactation consultant. Our breastfeeding support line is available seven days a week. For more information or to make an appointment, call 503-537-1400.

Baby-Friendly
The Providence Newberg Medical Birth Center is on the pathway to become a certified
World Health Organization UNICEF Baby-Friendly USA Hospital promoting and supporting breastfeeding. The Birth Center supports each mother's feeding choice and provides breastfeeding support and consultations before, during and after delivery.

New Moms' Group
You're sure to enjoy the connections made at one of our New Moms' Groups. New moms meet weekly to learn about infant development, feeding issues, safety and to meet other new moms and babies. You're welcome to drop-in to either the Wednesday or Thursday session at the Sherwood YMCA or Providence Newberg Medical Center- first floor conference room. There is no fee to participate.
