 Wine enthusiasts and friends of Providence will have a chance to ring in the holidays in a unique way. On Saturday, Dec. 6, Providence Newberg Health Foundation is hosting the Barrels of Dreams Wine Auction. The event will take place at Providence Newberg Medical Center.
“The setting couldn’t be more picturesque, nestled below beautiful Parrett Mountain,” said Shari Scales,foundation director. “Many of our new residents, including several physicians, have relocated here and are wine enthusiasts. Barrels of Dreams will provide the ideal venue to showcase the wonderful products the surrounding wine country produces as well as bring together both old and new friends in the community.”
Barrels of Dreams evolved from the foundation’s participation in the Providence Festival of Trees in Portland. “We got to talking, and decided that an event here would showcase our facility and this beautiful community, and we could still provide funds for the important health services provided here,” said Scales. Funds from this year’s event will raise money for Providence women's health, Providence heart services, and Providence Lifeline.
