The Providence Hope for Children Fund

In keeping with a Mission begun by the Sisters of Providence more than 150 years ago, Providence Newberg Medical Center seeks to provide the utmost in compassionate, excellent health care to people in need, especially the poor and vulnerable. One of the more vulnerable groups we serve is children with special needs.

Genetic disorders, chromosomal abnormalities, autism, cerebral palsy – these are just a few of the many diagnoses the more than 160 children who seek Providence Newberg Medical Center for therapeutic care face. Many of these families are served by Medicaid, or by insurance plans that only cover limited outpatient visits. Providence Newberg Health Foundation is proud to work with the community in generating charitable support so that these children can receive the ongoing treatments they need in order to successfully face daily life, and so that they may develop personal friends through our Family Friends outreach program.
