Becoming a family practice physician was an easy decision for Dr. Martin. “Family medicine allows a practitioner to experience the beginning of life, the end of life, and all that comes between,” she says. “Our patients allow us to participate in very personal moments in their lives and that’s an honor.”
Dr. Martin earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She completed her internship and residency at Family Medicine of Southwest Washington in Vancouver. In addition to family practice, Dr. Martin has a special interest in women’s health.
Born in South Dakota, Dr. Martin made her way to Texas after serving in the Air Force. She is married and, along with her husband, enjoys hiking, canoeing and “exploring the road less traveled in the Cascades to find great camping spots.” |
