| Sandra L. Emmons, M.D. - Obstetrics/Gynecology |
Dr. Emmons grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and attended McGill University in Montreal for her undergraduate degree in biochemistry. She worked in immunology research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, and then attended the University of Washington School of Medicine. She completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Oregon Health Sciences University in 1989. She joined the OHSU Ob/Gyn faculty in 1989, and she most recently was an Associate Professor and Vice Chair for Education.
Dr. Emmons's research interests include medical education and the use of acupuncture in women's health. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery and infectious disease. She is board certified in Ob/Gyn. Dr. Emmons and her family moved to Newberg two years ago, and recently finished building their dream house in the country. She is an avid gardener. |
