Meet our Staff
President & Chief Executive
Gabriela Robles is currently the president and chief executive of the St. Joseph Community Partnership Fund and AVP of Community Partnerships at Providence. In these roles, she defines the strategic direction of the Fund’s grant programs and initiatives. With more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, including extensive experience in community health programs, Gabriela holds the institutional knowledge and passion for equity needed to effectively address the greatest needs in our community.
Prior to her role at Providence, Gabriela worked in corporate giving at Merrill Lynch’s Global Philanthropy Department, and subsequently served at Hellen Keller International as manager of the international vision delivery program. Gabriela first served St. Joseph Health as executive director of the St. Joseph Health Foundation from 1999 to 2002.
In addition to her extensive professional and volunteer experience, Gabriela has pursued several post-secondary degrees that bring a breadth of knowledge and skills from several fields. Gabriela earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science, and shortly after graduating, pursued a master’s degree in urban and regional planning, both at the University of California at Irvine. Later, she earned an MBA from New York University and a Master of Arts in Health Care Mission from Aquinas Institute of Theology.
Gabriela’s position allows her to network with community leaders and identify opportunities to support equity in creative ways. Gabriela serves on the Boards of Health Funders Partnership of Orange County and Southern California Grantmakers. By engaging with local grantmaking efforts, Gabriela finds innovative ways for the St. Joseph Community Partnership Fund to collaborate and more equitably serve the community.
Programs and Partnerships Director
Jason Lacsamana is the Director of Programs and Partnerships for the St. Joseph Community Partnership Fund. In this role, Jason designs, implements, and supervises innovative initiatives that will positively impact health, with the ultimate aim of equity and justice in communities. This work requires the creation of meaningful partnerships with community organizations and institutions and re-envisions the role of a Funder as a collaborator.
With over 20 years in both the nonprofit and philanthropic fields, Jason has been dedicated to efforts that build community capacity, allowing organizations, neighborhoods, and diverse partnerships to become more stable, self-sustaining, and better advocates for regional needs. Additionally, he is a frequent speaker/presenter at regional and national conferences on the value the importance of collaboration across all sectors in achieving programmatic and policymaking success.
Jason graduated from UCLA with a Master's in Public Health and has been recognized as Health Educator of the Year by the Society of Public Health Educators and was a recipient of the Civil Rights Leadership Award from the California Association of Human Relations Associations.
Grants Administration Program Manager
Alisa is an experienced grants manager and communicator with nearly 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She has served as the St. Joseph Community Partnership Fund’s grants administration program manager for 17 years. In this role, she oversees all operations for the grants administration program at the Fund and serves as a key liaison between the Fund and its community partners.
Using her institutional knowledge and wealth of experience, Alisa manages the implementation of a new grants management software designed to streamline grantmaking processes across the Providence system. She serves as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting issues and helping Providence caregivers navigate the new system.
As a trained counselor, Alisa approaches problems with creativity and empathy, and understands the value of listening to community partners and colleagues, particularly when addressing challenges. She knows how to effectively support nonprofit leaders when making important decisions about resource management and scaling effective programs to achieve maximum impact.
Alisa earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California at Santa Cruz and her Master’s degree in counseling from California State University at Long Beach.
Carol serves as project coordinator for Providence, supporting the St. Joseph Community Partnership Fund and other Providence service areas. In this role, Carol provides key technical support and project management for grants and Community Health Needs Assessments across the Providence system.
With exemplary organizational skills and a strong understanding of complex software, Carol advances key functions of the Fund and ultimately supports efforts to advance equity and justice. She is also helping oversee the implementation of a new grant management software across the Providence system.
With more than 20 years of administrative and project management experience in a variety of industries, Carol efficiently advances essential functions and streamlines processes. Her strong organizational and technological skills contribute to effective grantmaking that addresses complex problems to improve equity in the community.
Prior to her current role, she supported executives at Seattle University, Starbucks and Hertz. Carol graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet.
