Aimee is passionate about global health development, economic justice and international solidarity. Through her work, she develops relationships with partner organizations in Latin America to create sustainable health solutions for long-term change, engaging local communities and Providence St Joseph caregivers in service together. She has a Master’s in Public Administration and has traveled and worked throughout Latin America.

Brittn Grey

Brittn guides caregiver volunteer programming in Latin America that builds relationship, demonstrates bilateral impact and renews employees of Providence St. Joseph Health in their commitment to our transformative Mission. She is passionate about cultural exchange, believing that international experience and inter-cultural friendships are the best teachers if you have an open heart. Prior to joining Global Partnerships in 2014, Brittn worked for Medical Teams International and spent several years in Latin America and Asia working with education and international development organizations.

Carrie Schonwald

Manager, International Educational Exchanges

Carrie spent the first 15 years of her career supporting immigrant and refugee populations in medical, educational and social service settings. She lived in Ecuador to learn Spanish in 1998 and has worked with Latino populations in the U.S. and Latin America in all of her jobs since that time. After earning a dual Masters of Social Work and Public Administration, she entered the realm of global health in 2007, when she spent six years working in international clinical settings managing community engagement for global preventive HIV vaccine trials. Working with Global Partnerships since 2015 in Seattle, Guatemala and wherever else it may take her, is pretty much her dream job! In her spare time, she just tries to stay one step ahead of her two year old daughter.


Laura Rodriguez

Manager, International Medical Care Initiatives

Laura was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and moved to Tacoma, Washington in 1995. While living in Washington, Laura earned a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis on Psychology from Evergreen State College. She has 20 years of experience developing partner relationships for non-profit and government organizations. Her relationship building has helped Providence increase the impact and effectiveness of its donations of surplus medical supplies and equipment to support health care delivery within the developing world. She is committed to making a difference in the lives of people domestically and internationally by serving and working towards justice for all humanity.

Manjula Prasad

Manjula was born and raised on the beautiful Island of Fiji. She got married and migrated to United States after graduating from College. Prior to joining Providence in May 2013, Manjula worked for Group Health Cooperative (now Kaiser Permanente) for 17 years at their Cooperate office in Tukwila in various positions. As Coordinator of Global Partnerships, Manjula supports the team in day to day operations of the department and also coordinates and does all the team logistics of service trips to Guatemala and Mexico. She has such a passion for this mission work, and to make a difference in people’s lives brings her so much joy and happiness. She treats every individual with much respect—the way she likes to be treated. Manjula’s outside-of-work life consists of hanging out with families and friends, hosting them in her house and feeding and helping the needy and poor in her community. Manjula is a happy spirit who always tries to have a smile on her face no matter what. She totally believes in Live, Love and Laugh everyday, as life is too short.


Kate Jorgenson

Kate has a love of Central and South America as well as speaking Spanish, and is interested in combining her experiences with her passions. She strives to live a meaningful life, and encourages others to see and appreciate the world, while doing so herself. Kate's hobbies include traveling, reading, softball, running and walking her dog.


Ericka Prasad

Ericka is the newest addition to the Global Partnerships team. She was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, but her parents were born in Fiji and moved to America to provide a better life their children. Ericka decided she wanted to have a career in which she can help people on global platform. She graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelors of Science and majored in Public Health. Working as a part of Global Partnerships is her dream job!
