About Roy B. Mukku
Dr. Mukku is a California native, growing up in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. After completing his bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and Public Health at UC Berkeley, he went on to complete his medical training in Houston and New York City. After working as a Hospitalist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, he returned home to the West Coast and continued working as a Hospitalist at UCLA. Wanting to pursue his passion for Cardiology, he completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Experiencing different parts of the country while training and working with diverse patient populations, he has come to value and appreciate the unique backgrounds of his patients. Dr. Mukku is committed to comprehensive cardiovascular care through shared decision-making with his patients, and utilizing the most effective diagnostic and treatment strategies available to improve longevity and quality of life.

Dr. Mukku has been taking care of me ever since I had a heart attack in September 2022. He placed a stent in one artery while I was at Providence St. Joseph Hospital. He is one of my favorite doctors. His office is very well run and I've never had any problems dealing with Dr. Mukku or his office staff.

This was my first visit with Dr. Mukku. When he entered the room, he introduced himself and asked how I was doing. I asked him about an EKG test that I just had done in the office. He had it in his hand. He pointed to it and said "this is textbook. If I was teaching a class, I would want them to know that this is what an EKG should look like". That made me feel good. In my first meeting with Dr., I found him to be funny, personable, and very professional. He knew that I had a stent ten years ago and an autoimmune condition. He did his homework and I appreciated that.
