About Amelie M. Wegner

Amelie Wegner, M.D., chose to practice family medicine because it allows her to combine her love of science and develop rewarding relationships with patients. She provides care for a variety of patients - from newborns to the elderly - and from all walks of life. She particularly enjoys multi-generational care, as she values working with patients within the context of their families and communities.

In her practice, Dr. Wegner emphasizes empowering patients to make informed decisions about their own health care. Her most important role is to listen and make patients feel comfortable seeking care. “I want my workplace to be welcoming to all patients because everyone deserves quality medical care,” she says. Her favorite thing about being a physician is the privilege of witnessing empowered patients embark on their own unique journey toward wellness. She loves seeing patients take charge of their own well-being and make changes that reflect the things they talk about during their visits. To Dr. Wegner, health care is not “one size fits all.” She strives to take each patient’s individual life experiences and health goals into account, while working together to manage their health.

Dr. Wegner earned her medical degree at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. She completed an internship and residency training at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque.

Growing up in a suburb of Portland, Dr. Wegner is thrilled to make the Pacific Northwest her permanent home. She especially likes being a mom and spending time with her family. She is an avid sports fan and follows a variety of teams from the Northwest.
