Dr. Alan Mandelberg is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center, where he teaches cataract and corneal surgery. Dr. Mandelberg is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, California Medical Association, Los Angeles County Medical Association, as well as, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. In 1976, he became a fellow in Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Surgery with renowned corneal specialist James Aquavella, M.D., Professor at the University of Rochester Eye Institute. Dr. Mandelberg was one of the first certified ophthalmologists in Southern California in Accommodating Intraocular Lens Implantation. Dr. Mandelberg has also appeared as a medical eye expert on various local and national television programs and has lectured nationally and internationally at medical seminars and conferences.
