About Harry E. Bray

"I believe that it is the responsibility of the specialist to be up to date and informed regarding current thinking in his or her area of expertise. The specialist's skills and understanding of the science of the subject must be applied in a manner that is clear, honest, and respectful of the humanity of the patient."

Having grown up in England and South Africa, Dr. Bray attended medical school at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, and served 3 postgraduate years at Baragwanath Hospital, Soweto, the third largest medical facility in the world. Upon relocating to the US, Dr. Bray completed an Internal Medicine residency, including as Chief Resident, at Providence St Vincent Hospital in Portland, before moving to San Antonio for a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center there. After an additional year of training at the UCLA/Olive-View Medical Center in Los Angeles, Dr. Bray returned to the Northwest and joined the Oregon Clinic in 1998.
