Katy Setoodeh, M.D., F.A.C.R. graduated Cum Laude from UCLA in Neuroscience. She received her medical training at UC Irvine Medical School, Internal Medicine residency at Olive View-UCLA, and Rheumatology fellowship at LAC-USC Medical Center. She is a Diplomat of the American Boards of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology and a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.
Dr. Setoodeh teaches at Cedars Sinai Hospital and is a Clinical Instructor of Medicine, UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. She has conducted numerous clinical trials, authored papers and book chapters, and often gives lectures to patient and physicians groups. She has appeared on the television show “The Doctors” and is featured in the book, The Patient’s Playbook.
She cares deeply about her patients and provides personalized, state of the art, innovative care. Her holistic treatment approach focuses on the individual, the importance of prevention and the art of medicine. Her areas of interest include Rheumatoid and Psoriatic arthritis, Connective tissue disorders, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, Fibromyalgia, and Gout. She treats nonsurgical musculoskeletal ailments and sports injuries, and specializes in joint injections including Hyaluronic acid.
Dr. Setoodeh grew up in Sonoma County, and has lived in Los Angeles for 20 years. She enjoys tennis, Pilates, cycling, reading and when not working she loves to travel.
