Melissa Wollan Francis, MD

Dr. Wollan-Francis enjoys caring for women through all stages of life, from adolescence through menopause and beyond. “I feel the best way to care for my patients is through education, compassion, and listening to their goals so that I can individualize their treatment plans,” she says. “While I enjoy sharing in joyful moments with my patients, I’m also honored to help them through difficult, vulnerable and emotional situations when they may feel alone.”

Born in Montana and raised in Washington, Dr. Wollan-Francis worked in a genetics lab at the University of Washington before attending medical school and serving eight years in the United States Air Force as an OB-GYN. She earned her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. She has worked at Providence as an OB-GYN since 2016. Dr. Wollan-Francis is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
