About Nina L. Bergquam
Dr. Bergquam appreciates the day-to-day interaction she has with her patients. "I enjoy learning about my patients' lives and feel privileged when they trust me with their personal joys and concerns," she says. With both her parents in the medical profession - her father is a physician and her mother a nurse - Dr. Bergquam likes to say she was "guided" into medicine. She attended medical school at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, and completed her residency at Providence Portland Medical Center. She is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Bergquam grew up in the Portland area. She is married and has a son and a daughter.

I communicate mainly through my chart as the wait time on the phone can be 20-30 minutes to talk with someone.( this is typical with all of the Providence Dr offices) This is an area that has needed improvement for the last several years.The recorded hold music is irritating and repetitive. Over all I have had very positive experience with Providence drsthank for this standard of excellence.

Trying to get through to your provider by phone is a Very poor set up. Your phone menu didn't even list my doctor's name. It's always a run around trying to get through to anything providence on the phone. Otherwise, I love my doctor.
