About Scott C. Brancato

Dr. Brancato joined Providence in 2012 and specializes in the care of patients with heart rhythm disorders. He performs catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and supraventricular tachycardia, as well as cardiac device implantation. He is a principal investigator in clinical research trials and has authored several publications in his field. He is an active member of Heart Rhythm Society.

He earned his medical degree at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and completed his internal medicine internship, residency, and cardiology fellowship at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. Dr. Brancato went on to complete additional medical training in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.

Dr. Brancato is originally from Washington, D.C., and moved to Portland with his wife, who is a native Oregonian. He is delighted to be in the Northwest where he enjoys running, skiing, cycling, and enjoying the outdoors with his family.
