About Tom M. Schwartz
As a family physician, Dr. Schwartz says he has three interrelated goals: "to work with families to improve the health of the individual family members, the family as a whole, and ultimately, the community."
He enjoys working with mothers during pregnancy, labor and delivery, and continuing to care for their new babies as part of the family. "I cherish those ongoing relationships I have with families as I help them live healthier lives together."
In his medical practice today, Dr. Schwartz is guided by a philosophy of care that includes respect for people of all cultures and sensitivity to their different beliefs regarding health and illness.
Dr. Schwartz earned his medical degree and completed his family medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison.
Dr. Schwartz speaks fluent Spanish. He and his wife, Maricela, a native of Mexico, have three children.
