Mickey Kolodny, M.D., has always enjoyed helping people, an interest sparked as a child watching his physician father help others. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Kolodny completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and then ventured out to experience living in other parts of the United States as well as Guadalajara, Mexico. A true Southern California native, he returned to Los Angeles after medical school to complete his residency.

He is a seasoned clinician who wakes up each morning ready to take on the challenges of easing the suffering of the sick and injured. He has held leadership positions in hospitals and local emergency medicine societies. He also mentors medical students as a clinical instructor at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Kolodny lives in the Palos Verdes Peninsula with his wife and three dogs. In his spare time, he swims and occasionally rides horses with his wife, who is an avid equestrian. Dr. Kolodny also enjoys skiing, hiking, biking and spending time with his two sons.
