Growing up in the country to Uganda, Dr. Raval recognized the importance of good health. By the time she moved to Canada at the age of 13, she had her sights set on a career in medicine. Dr. Raval received both her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. She moved to Southern California to complete her residency requirements at the University of California, Irvine and received board certification in Family Practice. Dr. Raval is committed to the good health of her patients and also to her husband and two children. In her free time, Dr. Raval can be found skiing, traveling and helping with her children's basketball teams.

I love Dr. Raval and her staff. They are always nice, I never wait more than 10 minutes for a regular appointment. I did wait 15 minutes for my last appointment but I thought that was a very short wait since they were squeezing me in the last minute. I was very impressed that they even got me in on the same day.

Tge clerk who took my blood was not successful. She tried in both arms and hurt me tremendously. She made me feel as though it was my fault for her not finding a good vein due to my being too cold and sensitive. If a clerk knows she can't find a vein, she should not continue hurting the patient.

Dr. Raval is wonderful. She listens very carefully and follows up on any concerns I express. She takes care of the situation herself and only refers when we have exhausted the basic remedies for the situation.

[...] I did not receive a return phone call. Email response is quick - but short leaving me with more questions - this physical - I do not understand why I did not have my ears checked - as in prev. years - was it forgotten?

There was a delay in the doctor seeing me because she was tending to another patient who evidently had a sensitive issue. The Nurse came in and apologized for the delay but assured me that the doctor would be with me soon. I appreciated the update and not being left with no explanation. Warmer rooms would be appreciated:)

The bedside manner of the doctor was good, however I saw my blood test results online come back "abnormal". I never received a call to review this, and I called the office three times to follow up and never received a call back. I expect my doctor to follow up with my on test results, and further I expect that if I call with a question I get a call back, especially to discuss a concern. It is unacceptable for a doctor to never follow up with their patient.

I kind of felt like it went a little too fast. I had a couple things I wanted to ask about but didn't feel like I was given the opportunity before she left.
