I provided my insurance card and the receptionist rejected it saying it was for vision only confusing my wife and I then told them nothing has changed we have the same insurance but she said was not in the system I was leaving when I looked on the providers web site and saw my insurance information which infuriated me and I when back in very upset then I learned the insurance card we provided was the right one in the first place.I believe this situation could have been handled better such as calling a supervisor for help instead of turning away a patient that has been going to this provider for more than 10 years.I will admit I could have handled it better too my only excuse is I was fasting for this appointment and was very hungry.

Dr Kenneth Shiozaki is an excellent physician. He was genuinely concerned. He listened to what I had to say. I especially appreciated that he was not constantly on a computer instead of having a face to face conversation. He was knowledgeable, spoke in a manner I understood, and gave practical advice. I would definitely choose to see him again. He did an excellent job. When I called back, hours later, to say I was still miserable, he called me right back and phoned in a new script which provided immediate relief. I understand there is a great deal of attention addressing opiate addiction. But the pendulum might have swung too far the other way. After filling the smooth muscle relaxant script, I remained miserable. I had drag myself back to the pharmacy a second time to get pain management medication.

Excellent office. Excellent doctor. Excellent nurse/assistant. I love My Chart. Although it was slow to deliver the lab results this time and caused ME to follow-up with the office/physician.

the doctor didn't appear very competent or well versed in medical issues. he was unable to clearly diagnose me so I left puzzled without any clear answers. I felt it was a complete waste of time and effort.
