Professional Statement
Physician Assistant Matthew Pyrch was inspired by his grandfather to pursue a career in health care. "He was a general practice physician, and I loved hearing his stories about providing care to his community and seeing his satisfaction he got from helping his neighbors and patients."

Matthew emphasizes preventive medicine and shared decision-making. "A good history can be as helpful as any diagnostic test," he says. "Getting to know patients is important to me - working with them over time to help them achieve their health goals." He says he strives to "help my patients manage their acute and chronic health concerns and to navigate the increasingly complex health care system."

Matthew earned his Master of Health Science degree from Duke University. He completed his undergraduate degree in biology and environmental science from Santa Clara University. His specialty is in internal medicine.

When he's not working, Matthew enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, hiking, fishing and biking.

This was my 1st time meeting with this provider. He met all my needs and asked me the right questions. And he came up with a plan of attack for my symptoms that seem to have subsided. He and his assistant went over my Rx's. Many I knew why I was taking them and a few others I was not really sure why, even though I have them entered in drugs.com for interactions.

I wished I was able to see my regular Dr since he knows me best but he's booked a week out and when you have an injury you want to be sen as soon as possible without going to urgent care

This provider needs to look directly at the patient and not just at the screen - eye contact is important also listening while looking at the patient - be involved. As Matt gains experience he will get better.

Very timely. Provider was clean and very nice. However, I was in there for a lingering cough and ear pain, but do not remmber that he listened to my heart of lungs during this visit.

PA Pyrch was very nice during our visit and I left the visit feeling positive. I would recommend him personally do his knowledable bed side manner. but after the visit, I have encountered difficulty with PMG. my ultrasound showed an anomaly requiem get an MRI and PMGs referral department had yet, after 10 days, to even contact my insurer to start the referral process, given the results of my ultrasound coupled with continuing pain, I believe my MRI referral should have been expedited but it wasn't. further, I requested a neurological referral to deal with other symptoms, but was told to wait to speak with a doctor. my symptoms haven't changed that precipitate my need to see a neurologist, so this was just a delay. in short, the in- person visit was very personable, but afterward, I have felt much like a number.

Matthew was great to interact with and I knew he listened because he asked me questions related to my problem and my answers. I was not embarrassed to give him details and I thought I would be.

Dr [...] is my PCP but I always see Matthew Pyrch, PA-C. He is always attentive to my needs, and I do not feel at all judged or intimidated by him. He seems to genuinally care about what I need. I am always able to get an appoinment when I need one, and both Dr [...] and Matthew are always prompt about responding to my My Chart messages. Your RN's are awsome at that as well! Thank you for your amazing care.

In addition to being in a great deal of pain Matthew got me an MRI in 1 day and a referral with an Orthopedic Surgeon almost immediately. In addition to having serious medical issues my only sibling had just been diagnosed with terminal bone cancer. Matthew was very sensitive and kind and I really appreciated his demeanor. Matthew is a wonderful listener and followed up twice even though I'd been transferred to Dr. [...]

This young man is a physicians assistant. I have been to him before when my regular doctor is or was not in. He would make a wonderful doctor if he chose to pursue schooling to become an MD if that is what it would take.
