Professional Statement
As the son of two physicians, Rob Quintos, M.D., knows very few professions can impact the quality of people's lives like medicine. Although he explored many different fields in college, he kept coming back to medicine. "I wanted to make a difference in my community and I wanted my career to matter," he said. As a physician, Dr. Quintos considers his most important role is to educate and raise awareness of cardiovascular health. "Heart disease is not inevitable and is many times preventable," he said. "The greatest challenge is helping people understand that change may be necessary, even when they feel healthy. Prevention starts with awareness of your risk." He enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and their families. "I am always humbled each time a new patient trusts me with their care. This is a responsibility to I do not take lightly," he said. Dr. Quintos earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Texas in Houston and completed his residency at Loyola University in Maywood, Ill. He came to Oregon for his fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University, and is board certified in cardiology, nuclear cardiology and coronary CT angiography and has a special interest in heart disease in athletes. Originally from Michigan and raised in Texas, Dr. Quintos enjoys being active in the Pacific Northwest. In his free time, he enjoys running, competing in triathlons, playing basketball and snowboarding.

I was not impressed with Dr. Quintos's nurse. She was very dry and didn't give out much info. This was my first appt. so I did have some questions about their routine. None were given. She was very cut and dry. Prior to appt. I slipped in the bathroom on a wet floor. The front office staff and Dr. were very concerned and wanted to be sure I was fine before and after my actual appt.

I saw Dr. Quintos for my A-fib condition. He answers my questions, but I don't feel reassured from his answers and his lack of empathy. I do think he's very competent and knowledgeable.

I cannot say enough about the level of care in this office, from the receptionist to the doctor and his staff. Everyone treated me with respect and caring. They made sure to follow up with me about a test that was being sent from a different doctor. The care I have received from Dr. Quintos and his staff has been outstanding.

Dr Quintos is my cardiologist and I see him twice a year for heart problems. I really like his office manner, which makes it easy to discuss treatment plans. My elderly aunt is also a patient of Dr Quintos and she really likes him, also.

The cardiologist I had previously seen retired. I was quite nervous about seeing someone new. Dr Quintos was wonderful, thoughtful and very patient in explaining things. I would like to add that his office called me with test results in the day I had them done. They understood I was extremely anxious and I was I overwhelmed by their kindness and understanding.

Dr. Quintos is an excellent doctor and all my experiences with him and his staff, including his PA [...], have been top notch. I became a patient of Dr. Quintos by the luck of the draw after a cardiac incident a couple of years ago, and I am very glad I did. The care I have received has been nothing short of excellent.
