"I grew up in a small beach community in southern California, playing soccer, running cross country and pole-vaulting during track season. I attended the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering. During my time at UCLA, I was heavily involved in the Bruin Belles Service Association, a community service organization. Upon graduation, I moved to Portland and began the combined M.D./Ph.D. program at Oregon Health & Science University, where I was fortunate to meet my amazing husband. After graduation, I attended Providence St. Vincent Medical Center for my internship and then completed residency in radiation oncology at Oregon Health & Science University."

"I love the Pacific Northwest and enjoy my time outside of work with my husband and son hiking, gardening and playing with our two cats, Duke and Kate. When my knees allow, I still play soccer, though more recently I have taken up boxing at McConnell's Boxing Academy, here in northeast Portland."
