About Lydia A. Raney

Lydia Raney, M.D., has always wanted to help people. She enjoys sharing in the joys and sorrows, participating in healing, and letting people know they are not alone. “It’s a huge privilege to walk alongside individuals and families as they seek health, however that looks for them,” she says. Family medicine, for Dr. Raney, was the best way she could care for people of all ages, throughout their lives, building trust and relationships for themselves and their communities.

Dr. Raney emphasizes health in all aspects of people’s lives and strives for a patient-centered approach to health care. She believes she is an advocate and guide; more than a provider. She feels that she has a responsibility to her patients to improve and maintain their health. “It’s amazing to know and care for so many people and it’s truly a blessing to have these encounters, listen to people’s stories and be a small part of their lives,” she says. Dr. Raney is passionate about many aspects of medicine and especially enjoys preventive health, reproductive health, and caring for children and families.

After earning her medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Dr. Raney completed her internship and residency training at Family Medicine of Southwest Washington.

Dr. Raney was born and raised in Arizona, spent her summers with family in Mexico, and speaks fluent Spanish. She lived in Papua, Indonesia, for six years and loves traveling and experiencing different cultures. She married her best friend and they have two young children together. As a family, they enjoy going on adventures and spending time in nature. She is proud to call the Pacific Northwest her home.
