About Alina K. Satterfield
Alina Satterfield, M.D., was inspired to practice family medicine because of the long-term relationships her parents, who were family physicians, fostered with their patients. She loves getting to know people’s stories and is honored to be a part of their lives. She believes in nurturing relationships to build trust and learn from each other in a way that allows obtaining health goals together.
In her practice, Dr. Satterfield emphasizes the care of the whole person, focusing on how one area of health affects another. “I think my most important role is that of an educator. I want my patients to have the best information I can provide to make the decision that is right for themselves and their loved ones,” she says.
After earning her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Dr. Satterfield completed her internship and residency training at Family Medicine of SW Washington in Vancouver. She has a particular passion for LGBTQ care, addiction medicine, prenatal care and deliveries, and HIV medicine.
Dr. Satterfield grew up in Portland and is happy be near her family and likes to spend her weekends taking her dogs on hikes and adventures. She learned to speak Spanish while in school and when she spent time abroad in Chile, Costa Rica, and Spain.
