Jessica Daniel, PA-C, first became interested in becoming a medical provider while volunteering for a search and rescue organization in high school. She was drawn to being a part of a skilled emergency response team and enjoyed developing the skillset to care for those in remote settings with minimal resources. “This experience guided me toward the PA profession as I value the cooperative nature of being a PA and working as part of a greater team,” Jessica says. She knew family medicine was for her as she loves the diversity of working with people of all ages and developing long-term relationships.
In her practice, Jessica emphasizes comprehensive care that prioritizes the whole person, while acknowledging each person as having unique and distinct health care needs. She believes in making thoughtful, evidence-based decisions that are shared equally between herself and each patient. She is also a strong advocate of patient education, stress reduction, exercise, a healthful diet, and preventive care to help patients achieve their best possible health. “I believe my most important role as a provider is to listen and provide well-researched medical advice,” Jessica says. “I see myself first and foremost as a patient advocate - someone who can partner with patients to help make decisions about their health and well-being that aligns with their goals and increases their overall health and well-being long term.” What she enjoys most about being a medical provider is getting to meet many different people and having the privilege to offer guidance and support making important medical decisions. In addition, Jessica welcomes all individuals and believes all people deserve kindness and respect. “I hope to provide a safe and welcoming environment to all who seek my care,” she adds. “I’m especially interested in preventive care, women’s health and behavioral health.
Jessica completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Oregon and earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Oregon Health & Science University.
