Dr. Andrew Mohammed was born in raised in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and feels fortunate to have been able to translate his lifelong interest in science and natural history into a medical career that allows him to make a difference in the lives of his patients. He is a compassionate physician who combines state-of-the-art training and access to modern technology with a caring, personalized attitude towards patient care.
Dr. Mohammed enjoys the variety and challenge of a comprehensive ophthalmology practice, and also has extensive experience in the management of glaucoma. Dr. Mohammed earned his Medical Doctorate from the Medical College of Virginia in historic Richmond and completed a three year residency in ophthalmology at the same institution. He then completed fellowship training in glaucoma at the University of Pennsylvania's prestigious Scheie Eye Institute. Dr. Mohammed is board-certified in Ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Mohammed loves the natural beauty and geography of the North Coast and considers himself very lucky to live and practice in such a beautiful area. Outside of medicine, his interests include fitness, travel, fine dining, the study of ancient and military history, and outdoor activities. Last, but certainly not least, he enjoys exploring the world alongside his wife, Adriane.
