For me becoming a dentist has been a lifelong goal! I knew from a very young age that I wanted to become a dentist. I started working in the dental field while I was in high school, gathering experience in all aspects of the dental office.
I completed, my undergraduate studies at The University of California Irvine. While there, I was President of the Dental Club and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. After completing my undergraduate studies, I moved to Boston, MA to pursue Dentistry at Tufts Dental School. Throughout my dental school education, I was a CPR instructor for the University. After 4 enjoyable years on the east coast, I decided to return to my home state of California.
I spent 3 years in San Diego, CA while my husband David completed his Medical residency in Family Practice Medicine, after which we decided to pursue job opportunities in the Napa Valley. I have been practicing dentistry in the Napa Valley since 2000, and joined Dr. Poh’s practice in 2016.
I enjoy spending time with my family and attending sporting events for my two sons, Joshua and Sean. As a family we enjoy several outdoor activities, including water-skiing, snow skiing, and cycling.
“I feel so blessed to live and work in a community where I am able to get to know my patients, both in and out of the office. I enjoy getting to know my patients as people, seeing their families grow, and being in their service. I believe some of my best teachers have been my patients.” -Doreen M. Pratt
