About Gene-Fu F. Liu
The Leonard Cancer Institute at Mission Hospital is excited to introduce Dr. Gene-Fu Liu to the Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Liu is a board-certified radiation oncologist who specializes in advanced irradiation technologies, including IMRT, SBRT, DIBH/respiratory gating, and SRS. Over the past six years, he collaborated with ENT surgeons and dentists to develop Hawaii’s largest volume head/neck radiation therapy program at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, HI, an MD Anderson-affiliated center. Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Liu is excited to return to allow his daughter to be closer to grandparents and cousins. A University of Southern California alumni who then graduated from the Yale School Medicine, he completed his specialty training at the University of Chicago. In addition to medicine, he also enjoys using the skills he developed at the French Culinary Institute to cook for friends and family.
