Marianne graduated from Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio in 1994 and began her vocation as a nurse working with critically ill neonates, then children and adults. She went on to become a family nurse practitioner from the University of Anchorage, Alaska (UAA) in 2010. While at UAA, she had the privilege of assisting with the design and integration of the first Alaskan inter-professional simulation center for healthcare students. This experience coupled with being a family nurse practitioner led her to a career within the Palliative Care Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center where she is able to strengthen quality palliative care for Alaska as the Director of Interprofessional Palliative Care Education. Marianne fell in love with the beauty and outdoors of Alaska and permanently moved in here 1999.
