Mario J. Seyer, DO

Mario Seyer, DO, has always been interested in medicine, inspired by father who was a veterinarian. During his first year of college, he worked in a student health clinic and found that human health was a better fit. As his medical studies progressed, he chose family medicine for the variety and the depth of personal interaction he would have with his patients.

In his practice today, Dr. Seyer emphasizes prevention through education, exercise and early diagnosis. "Health depends on both physical and emotional factors, so I focus on each patient as a whole person," he says. "They have an especially important part to play in improving their own health and wellness."

Dr. Seyer earned his undergraduate degree in biology from San Diego State University and his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. He completed his residency training with Southern Illinois University.

A native of Quebec, Canada, Dr. Seyer grew up speaking French. He and his wife have three children. In his free time Dr. Seyer enjoys coaching his children's hockey teams, exercising and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
