Katie Liebler chose family medicine because she enjoys the relationships she can develop with patients, as well as the wide variety of health issues she can help address. "I like getting to know my patients as people - getting to know their family, hopes and dreams," she says.

As a physician assistant, Katie believes in patient-centered care and in supporting patients as they decide what's right for them. "I see my role as providing information and guidance so my patients can make the best decisions possible," says Katie. "It's important for me to provide a caring medical home that can be a trusted source of information."

After earning her bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Katie received her physician assistant studies degree from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.

Katie was born and raised in Northern Michigan and now lives in the Portland area with her husband, two young sons and dog. In her free time, she enjoys running, camping, hiking and reading.
