Dr. Gianacakes says her philosophy of care is to offer advice and encouragement for her patients to be the best version of themselves. "My goal is for people to walk out of an appointment with no more questions and a clear plan for tackling their various health issues," she says. "My emphasis is on preventive care and everything in moderation. Patients need to be the advocates for changing their habits and ultimately, their health."
A primary care physician with a specialty in obstetrics and women's health, she says her most important role is to offer an expert opinion on lifestyle choices so her patients can optimize their health. Dr. Gianacakes earned her medical degree from University of Texas Health Science Center, and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Texas. When the Texas native isn't working, she enjoys cooking, yoga and travelling.
