Dr. Cooley grew up near Tacoma, Washington. She graduated from Stanford University with degrees in Psychology and Biological Sciences. While at Stanford, she also pursued research in language development in young children. She completed medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. She then moved to Portland where she was a Pediatric Resident at Oregon Health and Sciences University. For the next 5 years after finishing her residency, she worked part-time as a hospital pediatrician at Legacy Emanuel Children’s Hospital, taking care of hospitalized children and adolescents, as well as teaching medical students and residents. She was welcomed to the West Linn Pediatric and Women’s Clinic in May of 2006. When not working, Dr. Cooley enjoys spending time with her two very energetic young sons. Her hobbies include sea kayaking, hiking, yoga, and rubber stamping.
