Kirsten is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about empowering women to feel in control of their health. She believes that good care begins with open conversations and education throughout a woman's life cycle - from girls entering adolescence to women of childbearing-age and beyond menopause. Providing this kind of care makes a lifelong difference in the health of not only that woman, but also her family. Kirsten was born and raised in the Philadelphia region. She fell in love with birth at age 16 when she witnessed the delivery of her eldest niece. Prior to going into midwifery, Kirsten was a social worker who focused her efforts on improving maternal and child health. She has lived in various Latin American countries and is fluent in Spanish. In her downtime, Kirsten can be seen running long distances very slowly, sometimes with her dog Kenzi. Kirsten also enjoys skiing, board games, watching football, and traveling to new places to eat delicious food.
