About Uri M. Ben-Zur
Uri M. Ben-Zur, M.D., F.A.C.C completed his Internal Medicine residency at the prestigious Albert Einstein College of Medicine before pursuing his training in the field of cardiology.During his tenure at the esteemed Montefiore Medical center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York City (site of implantation of the world’s first transvenous pacemaker), he completed separate fellowships in Cardiology, Electrophysiology and Cardiac Pacing. There, Dr. Ben-Zur worked under the guidance of Doctors Seymour Furman ז”ל and John Fisher, pioneers in the field of Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology. After training, he was privileged to be appointed as an assistant Professor of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Ben-Zur then went on to complete his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, California. His training was guided under the auspices of Doctors Richard Schatz and Paul Teirstein, recognized authorities in Interventional Cardiology.
Due to his years spent in academia, Dr. Ben-Zur has been published in a number of prestigious journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, Circulation, The Journal of The American College of Cardiology, The American Heart Journal as well as a number of other medical journals and textbooks.
