About Robert D. Heros

Dr. Robert Heros has been with Spinal Diagnostics since January 2014, and brings a wealth of experience to the patients of the Portland area. He has practiced in Oregon for more than 9 years. He received his medical degree in 1999 from the University of Tennessee-Memphis College of Medicine and then completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of North Carolina, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. He was proud to serve in the United States Army Medical Corps as Chief of the Physical Medicine Department and Interventional Spine Services at Tripler Army Medical Center until 2007, where he wore the rank of Major. A Doctor of Physiatry and Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Heros enjoys acting as an intermediary between primary care physicians and spinal surgeons. His philosophy is focused on the belief that every patient is unique and deserving of the same care he would want for his own family. He understands that conservative treatment can be extremely beneficial and that through judicious use of minimally invasive, highly focused interventions, accurate diagnosis and successful treatment for pain is very possible. More recently, Dr. Heros has become passionate about neuromodulation and the unique hope this treatment option brings to patients with severe and chronic nerve pain. He is at the very cutting edge of this ever-evolving technology, and performs both traditional Spinal Cord Stimulation as well as Dorsal Root Ganglion Stimulation.
