Dr. DeGregorio is a graduate of University of North Carolina Medical School. He did his internship, residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. DeGregorio made his home in Portland and entered private practice in 1996, first with the Northwest Permanente and then with Clackamas Gastroenterology Associates. He joined Northwest Gastroenterology Clinic in 2000. Dr. DeGregorio’s clinical interests include esophageal disorders, IBD, endoscopic technology, medical training and teaching, brain-gut interaction, functional bowel disorders, mindful eating, spiritual centeredness and GI interactions, medical literacy, racial and gender disparities in healthcare. His outside interests include writing, reading, travel, and Italian cooking and culture.
