Mental health disorders, depression and anxiety are very common and are often associated with chronic pain disorders. A psychiatrist or a behavioral health specialist like Dr. Ananth, is extremely important in the overall management of someone who has chronic pain. There are not many physicians around who offer these combined services. As a South Bay and Westside psychiatrist and pain specialist, Dr. Ananth provides comprehensive and individualized psychiatric care and pain treatment at the Pacific Pain and Wellness Group in an environment that is conducive to recovery and healing.

Dr. Ananth’s psychiatric care and Pain Management modality is a crucial component of comprehensive treatment for chronic pain. Below are some of the benefits of psychiatric Pain Management.

The field of Pain Management is continually advancing and Dr. Ananth remains at the forefront of new treatments, new procedures and new Pain Management techniques to help patients control and minimize their pain. One of the cutting-edge procedures that Dr. Ananth uses is the transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), a non-invasive method of activating certain brain areas that are linked to pain relief.

Most people who suffer from chronic pain including chronic headache problems could benefit from the intervention of an experienced psychiatrist and Pain Management specialist, such as Dr. Ananth, considering that it’s rare to get someone with a background in psychiatry to actually participate in the care of somebody who has chronic pain.
