Robin Gingold was born and raised in Los Angeles. California. She graduated with honors from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She attended University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine and completed her pediatric internship and residency at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. She then joined Agoura West-Valley Pediatrics in 1995. She is a member of Think Tank to Brainstorm for Teen Culture. She is a board member of The Muses of the California Science Center.
Dr Gingold and her husband Dan have two children, William who is studying Economics at the University of Chicago and Lauren who is studying Communications at Curry College. Besides volunteering at The California Science Museum as a Muse, she enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, tennis, skiing and working out at the gym.
