Lindsey A. Geunes, CNM

Lindsey is a native of Portland and has wanted to deliver babies since she was a young girl. She earned her bachelor's degree in Women's Studies from the University of Arizona. After graduation, Lindsey worked in Tucson as a domestic violence counselor and then as a fitness instructor at Canyon Ranch. Lindsey subsequently earned her bachelor of science in nursing and master of science in nurse midwifery from the University of Pennsylvania. During her graduate studies, she worked as a nurse in a Mother Infant Unit. After graduating, Lindsey practiced midwifery in Allentown, Pennsylvania, providing full scope care to the women of the Lehigh Valley before returning to Portland to be closer to family. After returning to the area, Lindsey worked in Salem as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner before joining Women's Healthcare Associates. As a practitioner, Lindsey aims to work in a partnership with her clients: providing information while empowering them to make their own informed decisions regarding their health. She believes it is an honor to attend births and facilitate an environment in which women feel supported and are able to trust their bodies in the miracle of birth. Lindsey has a wonderful and supportive husband and two delightful daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family. She also has a passion for music and movies.
