About Matthew P. Ostrom

Born in Seattle, Washington, Dr. Ostrom attended the University of Washington where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Microbiology and was involved in basic cardiovascular research in the university setting as well as at a local biotechnology company ZymoGenetics, Inc. He went on to receive his Medical Degree in Chicago at Loyola University Chicago, and completed his post graduate training within the UCLA system completing internship and residency in Internal Medicine, and fellowships in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology. His research interests currently include ablation of complex arrhythmias and device based treatments for sudden cardiac death and congestive heart failure. He remains active in publishing and has authored and co-authored multiple articles in peer-reviewed cardiology and electrophysiology journals.
