About Armin Vishteh

Armin Vishteh, MD, is a board certified ophthalmologist, with specialty training in ophthalmology and ophthalmic surgery. After receiving his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his medical degree from the University of Kansas, Dr. Vishteh completed his ophthalmology training at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit. Subsequently, Dr. Vishteh entered private practice in Dallas, Texas. Later, in 2000, he moved back to Southern California and started his current private practice. Dr. Vishteh offers a full range of comprehensive ophthalmic services including modern cataract surgery, management of diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, and dry eyes. He performs routine family eye care and provides emergency eye services. Dr. Vishteh also offers laser vision correction and has performed more than 14,000 LASIK/ PRK procedures. He is certified on all FDA approved lasers, as well as the IntraLase femtosecond laser. Dr. Vishteh actively participates in continuing medical education courses and holds memberships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. He dedicates time to the practice of missionary ophthalmic work in Baja Mexico. Dr. Vishteh provides personalized care for his patients and makes himself available to answer questions regarding general eye care and refractive surgery. Dr. Vishteh is a member of the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Staff providing care in ophthalmology and refractive surgery.
