Michael Davis, MD, chose to become a pediatrician after observing patients in a children's hospital. As soon as the children were feeling better, they were in the halls playing and he loved seeing their resilience. Along with caring for children, building long-term relationships with his patients and their families is what he enjoys most about being a pediatrician.
In his practice, Dr. Davis feels it’s important to provide evidence-based recommendations and treatments. “I provide information on the developmental stage of the child so parents can approach parenting knowing what is reasonable to expect,” he says. He places particular emphasis on nutrition, activity and reading.
Dr. Davis is a board-certified pediatrician and earned his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Chicago Children’s Hospital. Dr. Davis has special interest in preventive medicine, asthma and allergies.
Born and raised in the Chicago area, Dr. Davis is an outdoor enthusiast who moved to the Rogue Valley for the abundance of recreational opportunities available. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, as well as hiking, backpacking, mountain biking and backcountry skiing.
Dr. Davis is always helpful and attentive. For [...] last visit, I was worried about her being sick for too long. Retrospectively, I should've called and spoke with a nurse first because the visit turned out to be unnecessary. But we ended up getting a flu shot - so at least the drive wasn't wasted.Providence Patient
Dr. Davis is who I suggest for a pediatrician as a matter of fact I suggested my son transfer my grandson to him.Providence Patient

We got lucky with Dr. Davis. - We didn't grow up here or know much about the peds in the area. Our sone has been going to him since he was 3 days old - He is 3 years old now!Providence Patient
My appointment was for 8am. My son and I were there at 7:30am. Notified from medical receptionist that Dr. was not in yet around 8:20 am. Dr. Davis did not show up to work until 8:40am and came in just after. No apology for making us wait over an hour. (45 min.) I had taken off from work to bring my son and needed to return to work. I was disappointed that his time was clearly more valuable than mine.Providence Patient

Seemed to have had a typo or miscommunication of some sort on a referral that was sent in for my son [...] but everyone was quick to jump on it and brought it to my attention before I myself could even catch it. Was very appreciative of how well handled it was.Providence Patient
I would like to say that our visit was just alright. the only thing I did not like was that no one not even the doctor came back into.our room to ask questions or to tell us to set up our next appointment. [...]Providence Patient
