This feedback is for a previous visit; I just didn't bother to go back and find the right survey. When Dr. Franzen recommended I have an injection in my shoulder; I confessed to him that I have a needle phobia. I fully expected him, or any doctor, to brush it off and tell me it's no big deal. Instead, he sat down, looked me in the eye, and said "Let's talk about it". Won me over right there - that's whole person health care. Together we made a plan to mitigate my anxiety while getting the injection I needed. He was compassionate, affirming, listening, and calmly competent. Not only will I retain him as my sports doc (I hike, ski, bike), I may choose your practice if I ever have to switch from my current PCP, I'm that impressed.

I am extremely satisfied with the experiences I have had and hope to continue to receive professional treatments from any other practitioners, thank you.

What a relief to find a doctor that treats me like an intelligent human being. Dr Cody wasn't offended when I criticized another sports physician that had given me a tremendous amount of pain and very little relief. Dr Cody explained where he was putting the cortisone injection and why he was not putting it in the bursa.

The staff and doctors are nice but sometimes I don't feel my appointments are adequately addressing my health.

Always easy to talk to Dr Franzen and trust his opinion

The symptoms of my hip discomfort had diminished considerably since 6 or more weeks ago so The actual cause was more difficult for Dr. Franzen to determine. However he seemed to find the root cause and he gave me a number of exercise and stretches to hopefully provide relief. He scheduled me for a quick return visit without discussing with me but I decided to hold off for awhile. I respect and like Dr. Franzen and I will see him again if the problem rcomes back or if I have any other activity/sports related injury's.

I really appreciated how well I was listened to by this doctor. I think he actually took the time to fully explain his findings. One of the best experiences with a doctor I've had.

As always Dr Franzen provided excellent care. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else!

I was very impressed with Dr. Franzen. He had reviewed my records before he met me in the patient room. He talked with me and then listened as I gave him an overview of my current circumstances and my history with RA. He did an examination which also included ultra sound. His diagnosis was different than the initial diagnosis I received in urgent care. I firmly believe his diagnosis was correct and he prescribed the right medical path forward. Rarely have I experienced a physician that listens and explain as well as what I experienced with Dr. Franzen. Although I hope to never have a reason to go back, I would not hesitate to call for an appointment with him if needed. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a sports medicine physician. I hope he can help teach other doctors on how best to interact with patients!

Provider spent time explaining injury, recommending what to do at home.Making appts and calling for amy questions if there is a change in the injury.Excellent communicating what needs to be done in future.

Although I didn't get the care I was hoping for, Dr. Franzen fully explained why he recommended not providing that care and I fully understood and agreed with his assessment.

I have had numerous Healthcare providers throughout my life and have also have over 20 years experience working with the healthcare industry and I have to say that Dr. Franzen is top notch across the board. He communicates AND listens effectively, with empathy. I have always known exactly what is going on, how we will treat it now, and what to do in the future. He ACTUALLY tries to figure out the root cause of what you are experiencing. Providence should have him teaching new doctors how to handle patients.

In addition to the doctor being fantastic, the phone receptionist who helped set up my appointment was even more fantastic. She took time to check with the doctor on options and after the initial appointment, in a separate call, did a search for an earlier appointment. She was very friendly, easy to understand, and made an effort above and beyond the normal.

Dr Franzen is wonderful!! He is knowledgeable, listens to what I am experiencing and knows exactly what is needed to treat my pain. He is always positive and supportive when listening to me. I wouldn't go to any one else ever again for the SI injections! He is very careful and gentle when administering the injections which causes very little discomfort.
