Physician Assistant Linnea Huson spent her first career helping people achieve their goals as a psychotherapist. "After 16 years of practice I wanted to broaden my training so I could address the physical, as well as emotional and spiritual aspects of healing," she says. "Now in practicing primary care medicine, my goal is to provide compassionate care that focuses on the whole person."
She considers her most important role as a provider to be a listener. "It's a privilege to meet with people about their health," she says. "I enjoy the challenge of learning new things all the time."
Linnea earned her master's degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Utah. She earned a master's degree in counseling psychology, marriage and family studies from University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Linfield College.
An Oregonian, Linnea is married and has two Golden Retrievers. Her recent big adventure besides becoming a physician assistant has been learning to draw and paint.
