Nicholas S. Fogelson, MD

Dr. Nicholas Fogelson is a fellowship-trained gynecologic physician and surgeon in practice since 2005. He came to Pearl Women's Center from Emory University, where he led the efforts to advance minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, ran the department's pelvic pain and endometriosis programs, and served as Chief of Gynecology at Grady Memorial Hospital. Dr. Fogelson is committed to excellence and innovation in surgical technique, both in his own work and as inspiration to the learners who have worked under him. Dr. Fogelson is experienced in all areas of gynecologic surgery and has particular expertise in the management of endometriosis. He is skilled in the resection of endometriosis, including complex cases requiring advanced techniques and multi-specialty collaboration. Almost all of Dr. Fogelson's surgeries are performed via minimally invasive techniques, including many cases that traditionally would require large incisions to complete. He has lectured at both the regional and national levels throughout his career and has published many peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Fogelson enjoys all aspects of gynecologic care and is available to help with problems of varying complexities. From well-woman exams to complex referrals, Dr. Fogelson is eager to contribute to the community and our patients. Growing up in Eugene, Dr. Fogelson is excited to have come home to Oregon with his beautiful wife, Zarya, and daughter, Azalea. He is passionate about family and listening to great music at Portland's many venues. Dr. Fogelson is also a competitive golfer and enjoys competing in tournaments both locally and regionally.
