I was referred by my Doc to be evaluated by Dr. Smith last April. It took 7-months to be seen. I originally had an appointment in August and that was moved by staff to November.The staff and Dr. Smith were awesome and met all my expectations once I got in!

I was immediately at ease when the doctor came in the room with a white coat on. (I met a general surgeon for the FIRST time in Walla Walla that walked in with jeans and a sweatshirt and no name tag. Dr. Smith was professional, knowledgeable and left me feeling quite confident that all will go well with my upcoming surgery in January. He spent a great deal of time going over the CT Scans with me and the 'why' of my ruptured appendix NOT being removed back in September.

Dr. Philip Smith was thorough, took time to be sure to answer any questions that I had and explained just what would be involved with the surgical procedure.

Dr Smith took the time needed to listen to my symptoms and understand the nature of my complex problem. I am confident he is the right person to hep with my problem.

It's always good to see a Doctor that care for his patients and not just another paycheck and that's is Dr. Phillip Smith.

This appointment was for me to get a PD catheter installed in my PD cavity. We talked about past health issues, and he explained in very easy terms, so even someone that didn't understand (I was already very aware) what's going to happen. Very professional, very confident, and extremely polite.

Dr Smith was very detailed with procedures that I like to know about when making decisions regarding my health.

Originally waited 3 months for an urgent surgical consult. Night before my early morning appointment, I was called and it was rescheduled for 3 1/2 months later. This was to be an urgent surgical consult in which I would have waited 6 1/2 months to be seen for. After sending my concerns to Providence Medical Group, I received a call the next morning and every attempt was made to set this wrong right. I waited one week, as they fit it into my work schedule (education-not an easy job to miss), and I saw the surgeon. He explained things to me that no one ever had. I appreciate the time and care that he afforded me. I am excited and less fearful of my impending surgeries than I was before seeing him. I believe my doctors really have chosen the best surgeon for "the job". He specializes in the best fixes for my health concerns, and he is willing to "tag team" with the other surgical team on my case to make sure that I have the best chance for a healthier future. I'm hopeful for a healthy life after this. Thank you Dr. P. Smith!

Dr. Smith is an excellent doctor. During my 8 day stay in the hospital after surgery, he visited me every day to assess my recovery. He is very open minded and shared his thoughts on my recovery. I can't imagine having any other surgeon operate on me. His pre op and post op appointments have been excellent.

He was very through and I never felt as if he was blowing me off. We went over several things and he took the time to show and explain things to me on the MRI

Dr spent the time needed to explain, which I have never seen at kadlec so very refreshing and to see this for surgery, gave me confidence he will spend that time during surgery. Not rush during the surgery.

Great provider and I am very confident going into my surgery. My only negative was how long it takes to get an appointment. They are just very very busy. Which is good in some ways but not for those in discomfort

I am also grateful that Dr Smith called to check on me after my surgery. I am also thankful that when I ran out of my pain meds I was able to talk to Dr Smith and he called in the Rx right away so that I was covered. Thank you so much.
