Physician Assistant Lola Achilova says she chose to become a medical provider so she could "have a meaningful interaction with people every day. I enjoy getting to know people and their families and connecting their way of life into their health."
She views her most important role as allowing patients to make well-informed decisions about their health care. "I love to help people lead better lives," she says. "I enjoy seeing little kids, new moms, obstetrics patients, as well as people dealing with chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension. My goal is to get to know people. Get to know their likes, dislikes, fears and what brings them happiness."
Lola earned her master's degree in physician assistant studies from Pacific University, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology.
Born in Tajikistan with Russian as her primary language, she studied Spanish in school. She loves languages, different cultures and traveling.

Best "doctor" I've ever hadProvidence Patient
Lola left the room at the end of my appointment without indicating that she did not plan to give me any paperwork/written instructions. Because I usually receive paperwork, I sat in the room and waited for about 10 minutes until the nurse walked in to clean the room and was startled to find me there. She went to check to see if I needed paperwork and was told that I didn't need it. I asked then about my prescription that had been indicated. The nurse had to go check again to see what was happening with the prescription. Apparently Lola had phoned it in to the pharmacy, but had failed to tell me that was the case. I also needed an alternate bandage as I had developed an allergy to the adhesive on Band-aids. I was not told the brand of what I should be looking for, but was just told (by the nurse, afterward, as I was walking out, saying I hadn't been given the needed information) that she was sure I could find an alternative at a pharmacy. I was very frustrated at the lack of clarity regarding my instructions and my prescription. I am considering changing primary care providers.Providence Patient
Lola has a nice bed side manner and easy to talk with.Providence Patient
I went in with digestive concerns that arose after I had surgery to remove my gallbladder. While she was nice enough I didn't find the Dr to be very knowledgeable. I feel like I researched more before I came. I didn't leave with any plan to fix / correct my digestive issues. I was told to come back in a year for a checkup?!? I left wanting to research & find someone else to see. It was a frustrating experience.Providence Patient
Lola is great! I've sent two of my friends to see her. I'm always comfortable talking about any issues I'm having. She's always so warm and welcoming. Always has a smile on her face.Providence Patient
