At the age of nine, Keala Clark, M.D., decided he was going to be a pediatrician. "I never altered from this path," said Dr. Clark. "I love working with children and their families." In his practice, Dr. Clark emphasizes compassionate communication and cultural competence. "These are two things I strive for in every patient and family interaction," he says. After earning his medical degree from the University of Iowa, he completed his intership, residency and fellowship at University of Iowa Children's Hospital. Dr. Clark is board certified in pediatric critical care. Dr. Clark volunteers for an international organization that provides cardiac care throughout the world. He has worked in Ecuador, Mexico, Romania, the Dominican Republic, Ethiopia and Libya.
